"So...I met this boy..."

"Uh huh."

"...and...I think I'm in love."

"SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!"

(Name) stumbled off her bed, crawling towards the exit of her room. She blushed at their conversation, hearing her best friend ramble in surprise. She gingerly closed her bedroom's door, and quietly locked it. (Name) waited for a pause in her best friend's squeals and then told her, "Okay. I shut the door."

"What?"

"I closed my door like you wanted me to." (Name) fell into her bed back first, and closed her eyes.

"Huh? Oh. You mean that. I didn't mean it literally, it's just a figure of- Okay you know what? Never mind. What's more important is, YOU FELL IN LOVE?! (Name)! Of all people, I never thought you were the type to have feelings. I mean, you were the one who literally brought a boy outside when he asked you out."

(Name) rolled around in her bed, covering herself with her blankets like it would stop her from turning a tomato red. "The boy said it so casually that I didn't realize he was talking about going on a date..." She mumbled into the phone.

"Now that I think about it, you really do take things literally...Anyway! Who's the lucky boy? Who could my precious, little girl have fallen in love with? Who has the power to move the world's plainest girl who can be mistaken for a robot? Who can so easily-"

"Masato Hijirikawa."

"What???"

"It's Masato Hijirikawa." (Name) squeaked out again. She then fell off her bed, still wrapped in her blankets.

"No I mean...GAAAAAH! Him?? Of all people! He's...meh. Why can't you fall in love with me?? Don't go to that stiff introvert! Well at least it's not Ren...How on earth did you fall in love with Masato?"

(Name) finally released herself from the mass of blankets and sat upright on her bed. She began twiddling her thumbs, balancing her phone on her shoulder. "Well...he's not how you think he is. He may seem boring, but he's really passionate inside. The first time I met him, I was actually in the storage room of the music room looking for extra music sheets. Then I heard someone come in and start playing the piano. They were playing with such tenderness that I couldn't believe it was Masato when I looked out of the door. I didn't want to interrupt his playing so I ended up staying in that room for an hour and listening to him play...It was beautiful."

(Name) sighed, once again lying down on her back and swinging her feet in the air. "I realized then that I want to know more about him. I want to be the one to discover all his tiny little secrets, his habits, and his favorites. I want to be the one to make him laugh, smile, and to lend him my shoulder when he needs to cry. That's all I need."

"Oh...well, your taste in boys is really bad, but if he makes you happy, then I guess I can bear with it. The only advice I can give to you is don't squander the moment if you get it, okay? If you really want it, go after it. Who knows? He might want the same from you."

"(Name)! Dinner time!" (Name) jumped the moment her mother called her. She fidgeted with her phone as she lost hold of it and almost drops it.

Finally, she places the phone near her ear and says, "Thank you for the advice. You really are the best friend in the world! Well I have to go now, it's dinner time!"

"Kay kay. See you tomorrow, (Name). Bye bye!"

"Bye!" After hanging up, (Name) clutched the phone to her chest and smiled. Then she went downstairs.

~The next day~

It's him again, (Name) thought as she heard the magical melody coming from the piano. A soft voice accompanied it perfectly, bringing warmth into her heart. The classroom filled with applause as Masato stood up and bowed. He went back to his seat, placing his sheet music back into his folder. (Name) couldn't help but stare at how calm and collected he is, yet how he's able to show so much emotion in the song. She quickly turned away when she realized that she caught his eye.

"Wonderful!" Ringo exclaims. "You get better and better! Now for our next assignment, we will be-"

Ack, is he looking at me right now? Name blushed. I want to check, but then he'll think I'm staring at him...Do I at least look okay? (Name) brushed her hair behind her ear, but then changed her mind and tried to cover her red face. She stared directly at her desk, trying to find her reflection.

"(N-a-me)!" Two hands slammed down on (Name)'s desk. (Name) jumped slightly, and looked up to see Ringo. "Are you listening?"

"A-ah, yes! I...I..." The bell rang, and (Name) let out a sigh of relief.

"Hmmph. Class dismissed." He said as the students began exiting the classroom. The teacher gave (Name) one last look before leaving the classroom.

(Name) shook her head, trying to get rid of the shakiness in her heart. She gathers her papers and stands up to leave, but a person bumps into her and knocks down her stuff. "Gyah..." (Name) murmurs, kneeling to pick them up. A person bends down to pick up her sheet music that was just out of her reach and hands it to her. "Oh, thank you!" (Name) looks up as she takes her stuff from the person, but immediately drops it when she found out it's Masato standing in front of her.

Her heart rushes as she realizes that nobody else is in the room. She picks up the fallen item, and feels her ears get hot as she notices how pathetic she must look. Why does everything get more embarrassing when you realize you like someone?

"-okay?"

"Huh?" (Name) looks up to him and sees him offering his hand to her.

"Are you okay?"

"A-a-ah yes!" She stands up immediately, and curses herself for not taking his hand. He must think I'm really rude. First I drop something he offers me, and now I reject his help?

Masato brings his hand to his face, and (Name) sees a bit of redness. He looks away and shows her a pink letter. "I think you sent this to me."

(Name) takes the letter, tilting her head a bit in confusion. She opens it and reads:

Dear my dearest crush Masato,

Can you believe it? I'm in ~love~ with you! The way you talk, walk, breathe...Your very existence makes me want to faint! Ah, it's such a magical feeling, love that is! Right from the moment I saw you, I just knew you are the one! Of course, I'm too stupid to talk to you right away, but my BESTEST friend (who is amazing and beautiful~) persuaded me to write out my feelings. So here's a little love letter overflowing with all the love in the world for you! Just for you! Kyaaaaaaaaaaa, you make me swoon with every thought! My taste in men may be bad, but the heart wants what it wants. And I want you!  。◕ ‿ ◕。
♥♥♥♥
I Love You!
 (Name)

If there was a hole somewhere, (Name) would crawl and die in it. She could just hear her best friend laughing while she drew little hearts all over the page attempting to "help" (Name).

"-never thought you would be the type to write something like this, but in order to respond to your feelings, I-"

"I didn't write this!" (Name) panicked. She glances shyly at Masato, and saw him frozen. He clears his throat and apologizes, then turns around to leave. She panics again, trying to remember to breathe. Ah what should I do? If only this hadn't happen! I can't believe my friend! What was she thinking?! Wait...wasn't she the one who told me to go forth with my feelings? Sure her actions isn't the best, but there's really no ill meaning behind them. If she didn't send that letter, I don't think I would have ever managed to even speak to him. That's it. Here's my chance, I'll take action now. "Actually Masato!" (Name) spoke out without putting anymore thought into it. She saw him stop in his tracks and in a hurry, she continued on. "I...I wouldn't mind going on a date with you."

She nearly squealed when Masato turned around to face her. "Then I suppose going on a date with you tonight at seven is fine?" (Name) nods. He gives her a warm smile, and her stomach fills with butterflies.

~***~

The moment (Name) got home, she was too anxious to do her school work. All she could think about was of Masato's piano playing, his smile, and the date tonight. "Gyaaaaaah!" She screamed into her pillow. "You know what? Screw this." (Name) got up and started searching through her closet to find something to wear.

And that's when the problem began.

"No...no...no..." One after another, she rejected her clothing. They were either too plain, too boring, or not appropriate for this season. "Oh no...What do I wear? Are we going somewhere fancy? Are we eating out? Are we watching a movie? Should I be flirty and risk it? Or should I be collected and conservative? Is wearing something comfortable a bad idea? Or maybe going all out is better?" After several hours of deciding, she realized it was 6:30 and ended up wearing her favorite color dress. She hurriedly put on some makeup and did her hair. When she received a text message notifying her that Masato arrived, she ran to her front door to avoid her family's confrontation.

"(Name)!" Masato said in shock as she quickly closed her front door behind her. "I was about to greet your parents inside!"

(Name) quickly conjured up a lie, "Ah about that, haha. Um, they're actually not home right now..."

"Oh well, you look especially stunning tonight, (Name). Shall we leave?" He offered his arm to her, and (Name) gladly took it.

She gasped when she saw a limo waiting for them. "You got a limo for me?"

He looked away for a bit and murmured, "Nothing less for you, (Name)." He opened the door for her and she went in with him following after. The ride to their destination was full of awkward silence, neither of them having the courage to start up a conversation. Once they arrived, he helped her out and yet again, (Name) was shocked.

This is the most expensive and the fanciest restaurant in town! Only high class people come here! I knew I should have worn something better! The look on (Name)'s face must have gave off the wrong vibe as Masato asked, "(Name)? Is something wrong?"

"Oh no, not at all! I was just...you should have told me we were going somewhere fancy. I look out of place in this dress."

"(Name)...you look beautiful no matter what you wear." (Name) blushed, and he guided her inside the restaurant to a private section. Wow...he reserved all of this? And on such a short notice? (Name) couldn't bring herself to look at Masato's eyes again. How did this happen? Her being on a date in such a high class restaurant...

"Are you two ready to order yet?" A waiter asks, pen and notebook in hand.

(Name) made a face when she realized she hadn't even open the menu yet. "Oh, um..." Minutes pass by as she reads the confusing menu. With no options left, she whispers to Masato, "Masato, I don't even know what half of these are."

She watched as Masato tried his best to prevent from bursting out laughing. "We'll have the special then."

"Alright then, I'll be back with your order as soon as possible." The waiter left, and Masato allowed himself to chuckle.

(Name) pouted, "It's not that funny. I just...haven't been to a five star restaurant."

"You're right, you're right. Perhaps it is my fault. I should take consideration into where you want to go next time- Er, if you want there to be a next time." He turned away again, but that was before she saw a blush forming on his face.

That was when (Name) realized that Masato was like any other person. He is easy to understand, and puts his best in everything. This is why I like him. "I would love to," she said. Masato turned to look at her and gave her another bright smile. All of (Name)'s worries were dispelled for that night.

For the remainder of the date, they ate and chatted of small things. The food is delicious, and (Name) learnt of all the things they shared in common. Finally, they finished the dessert and headed outside to go home.

Once outside, the limo was nowhere in sight. "That is odd..." Masato muttered.

"What?" (Name) asked.

"Oh nothing. Hold on, I need to make a call." He excused himself and momentarily left. When he came back, his face was grim. "There appears to have been some accident and now the limo is in traffic. They won't be arriving soon." He sighed, "I'm so sorry. This was suppose to be perfect and everything. I'll just call a taxi-"

"No wait! You have done enough for me. I feel bad for you on spending all this money on me, so how about we just walk home?"

Masato looks at her in surprise, "W-well, if you want. I know the directions to your house from here."

"Great." They start walking in the direction to her house, embracing the beautiful night lights. A cool night breeze hits them, making (Name) shiver. Just as soon she felt the chill though, a heavy weight was placed on her shoulders. She looked up to see Masato giving her his jacket. "Thank you."

"My pleasure."

Soon, they arrived to the edge of the hill they were on, and (Name) had to momentarily pause as the view astonished her. "Wow," she breathed out. The city lights illuminated the night, making her feel like she could do anything she ever wanted. Her moment of inspiration was shortly lived though when she tripped on a rock.

Instead of the cold hard ground hugging her, she found herself in the arms of Masato. Their faces mere inches from each other, she could feel his warmth breath. He asked, "Are you okay?

"I-I think my heel broke." (Name) nearly squeaked out. His strong hands were at her waist, and if she moved anymore, their lips would practically be touching. Masato quickly released (Name) and placed her upright. "T-thank y-you." God dang it, why can't I stop stuttering?

He nodded, and then looked around. "I think I could see your house from here. We're not that far away." Instantly, he crouched down. "Come on, I'll give you a piggy back ride the rest of the way."

(Name) blinked in disbelief. "What? I-I can't!"

"It's either this or I carry you bridal style. I can't have you walking barefoot back. Now hurry."

(Name) stares at him embarrassed for a few seconds, and then complies. This is so weird... She thinks, hoisting herself on his back. Then she realizes how much of a burden she must be. "I'm sorry about my heavy weight, Masato..."

"It doesn't matter as long as you are fine. I could barely feel you too!"

(Name) blushes and he starts running off. She holds on for dear life as they descend down the hill, and laughs when he almost trips. As her cheeks brushes against his hair, she can't help but smell it for it is so soft. So soft...like a pillow. Then she imagines herself waking up in his arms, and blush.

They finally arrive to her house, the trip being quicker than she expected, leaving her slightly disappointed. Masato settles her down at her doorsteps. He looks at her, and before she knew it, his hand was cupping her cheek. "Your face is all flushed." He smiled. "I hope you have a good night."

He was about to turn around to leave when (Name) suddenly grabbed him by the tie. Pulling his face down to her height, she kisses him. She releases when they begin to run out of air, and squeaks good night before running inside her house. Once inside the confinement of her house, she leans her weight against the door and pants. What was I thinking?

However, outside, Masato touches his lips, shocked. Finally, he asks out loud, "Now how am I suppose to get home?"
I'M SORRY THAT HE'S SO OC AND IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO WRITE THIS AND THIS IS TERRIBLE AND STUFF! - flails about -

:iconmiseryplz: Oh hello there...I thought I would never see you again... :iconsadnessplz: I hope you are well and...stuff. :icondepressedonionplz:

You see, I have had this request for Masato for quite a while now, but apparently, one day I woke up and my brain was all like, "UM no." So I had the longest struggle with my brain to persuade it to create something beautiful or cute, and then winter break came! I was all happy and stuff because I didn't have to go to school, but then winter break passed. I honestly do not remember what I did that whole three weeks. Seriously. I feel like I went and got drunk mentally, passed out, and now I have to suffer a hangover. Well, here I am...literally three minutes before I have to go to sleep because I have to wake up at flipping 6 AM again (otherwise I would stay up until 3 AM). I'm honestly just procrastinating at this point because once I go to sleep, I wake up in the wild. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK INTO THE WILD. Someone save me... :icongivingupplz:

Oh...Did you know? That I can't draw even if my life depended on it and that this preview image belongs to the respective owner? Did you know that? Did you really know that? Did you? Did you did you?
