Kurusu Syo's eyes popped open. "What the hell is that?!" He yelled. A loud song blasted from somewhere in his room, awakening him. He propped himself up with his elbows, and searched the place for the cause. A light penetrated the darkness, and he squinted to make out a cellphone.

      Let's sing our dream! (Let's shout!) 
      Let's sing into the sky! (Let's go!) 
      Let's make it into an unbelievable story!
      Let me sketch the map of my future (Yes x2) together with you.

Is that...my phone? Syo thought. The ringtone filled the air, its catchiness making him almost hum along until he realized that it must mean someone is calling him. He then scrambled out of his bed and scurried over to the vibrating machine.

      This is a revolution. (We are)

      I'll change our love into the star.

Grabbing the phone, he shouted, "God what is it?!"

"Um, is this Kurusu Syo's phone number?" The person on the other line asked.

Surprised by the sound of a female voice, he drew the phone away from his ear and looked at the caller ID. "(Name)." He whispered. Realization hit him like a bag of bricks falling on his head. "(NAME)?!" He fumbled with the phone a bit before actually answering back. "Um (Name)! Sorry, I thought it was someone else. Oh and this is Syo." He blushed, thinking of how stupid he must have sounded.

"Ah, I called because I was wondering if you are still coming to the event we scheduled yesterday with me. I'm actually there right now, but if you don't want to come, it's okay!"

"Event?" He scratched his head, trying to desperately remember. "Event event event...AH EVENT?! Shit! I'm so sorry (Name)! I'm coming right now! Don't worry!"

"It's no problem! I'll just wait by the entrance."

Syo heard (Name) sigh, almost as if she was glad that he was coming. He shook his head, (Name) was probably just tired, right? He responded, "Mmph. Please wait a little longer for me!"

The phone clicked, and Syo set it aside on the table. He rushed to turn on the lights, then ripped open the doors of his closet and searched for some pants. He grabbed a pair of black, low rise jeans, and struggled to put them on. He took a white button down shirt, strung his arms through, and began buttoning his shirt with one hand while grabbing his hat with the other.

He was out of the door in a flash, but then hesitated. He went back into his room and snatched a tie and hung it loose around his neck. He dropped by the bathroom for a quick wash and was running full speed to the event.

Syo couldn't believe that he forgot about the event at the park today. He had waited for so long to ask (Name) out, and finally managed to muster up enough courage to even talk to her. However, it was (Name) who suggested going to the festival first. God damn it! He thought, shaking his head furiously. I can't believe I'm late! It's all because of stupid Natsuki! After coming home from a long day at the studio, Natsuki kept him up all night, pestering him with questions and "games." Now that Syo thought about it, he didn't get much sleep either. Fuck... 

The park finally came to his view, and he saw (Name) leaning against the fence, the sunlight making her shine. "(Name)!" He called. (Name) looked his way and smiled. Syo blushed, and rested his hands on his knees, heavily panting. (Name) looks so beautiful today with a dress on that Syo wished he wore something different or just did something with his hair. As if things couldn't get worse, a person bumped into him, causing him to fall face down on the floor.

"Syo!" (Name) ran to him, dropping down to her knees. "Are you okay?!" She offered him a hand, which Syo took shyly.

God she must think I'm weak. He rose up and then began yelling behind him, "Hey! Who do you think you are pushing people?!" He panted, and looked down to see a woman holding hands with a little girl.

The girl teared up and began to cry, while her mother ushered her away. He tipped down his hat in embarrassment. Dang, the person who pushed me must have ran away. He faced (Name) and murmured, "Sorry (Name)."

"It's okay, Syo. Let's...Let's just have fun today, okay?" She blushed, looking away. Her dress fluttered underneath her, and he truly thought how cute (Name) is.

He nodded, "Yeah."

They walked side by side into the park, where there was a constant stream of people and vendors yelling from left to right. Their hands occasionally bumped into each other, but then he would whip his hand away, embarrassed. He couldn't help but stare at (Name)'s lips once in a while. The glossy pink sheen looked so soft that he wondered how it would feel against his...

"Syo? What's wrong?" (Name) asked, tilting her head slightly.

He jumped back, "Ack! Sorry! I was, uh...I mean, I'm going to get a drink of water, so stay right here, okay?" (Name) nodded, and he nearly had to prevent himself from running to the drinking fountain. He bent over, gulping in drops of water at a time. He stood up and wiped the excess water from his lips. No, I can't be thinking about (Name) like this. She doesn't see me that way. 

He walked over to the spot they were at before, but stopped as he saw two men towering over her.

He heard one of them say, "Hey girl, you're too cute to be walking alone here."

"Why don't you come with us, somewhere fun?" The other man asked, grabbing her shoulder.

"Um, I..." (Name) stuttered.

He then came running to her, shouting, "Sorry, she's mine!" He grabbed her hand without a thought and began dragging her away. They ran to an empty area of the park, a bench overlooking a lake. He sighed as the two men were nowhere in sight, and then released (Name)'s hand. He collapsed onto the bench, lying down with his legs dangling on the other side. He closed his eyes, he suddenly felt very dizzy. Grabbing his collar, he pulled it down, trying to get some cool air.

"Syo? Are you okay?" (Name) asked, standing besides him.

"I'm just...exhausted. I didn't get enough sleep last night and that sudden running nearly knocked me out."

"Ah, I bet you're hungry then?"

As if on cue, Syo's stomach growled. "Mmph, yeah."

"I'll get you some takoyaki then. Stay here."

(Name) was about to turn around when Syo grabbed her hand. "(Name)? I'm really sorry. Today was suppose to be fun, but I-"

"Don't worry Syo. I'm just glad you're here with me." She then released his grip and went to one of the vendors. When she came back, she found Syo already asleep. She smiled, thinking of how innocent he looked. His blonde hair with the pink shadows was all tousled underneath his hat, and his shirt was slightly lifted up, revealing his abs and low rising pants. Before she knew what she was doing, she leaned down to give Syo a kiss on the forehead.

What did I just do?! (Name) thought furiously. What am I thinking??? He would never like a plain girl like me! She stood up quickly, trying to pretend that nothing happened. However, Syo's eyes shot open and grabbed (Name)'s shoulder, making her fall on top of him, the takoyaki flying from her hands to the lake. 

Chest to chest, hip to hip, (Name) blushed fiercely at their position. Syo smirked. "You can't believe that I'll let you give me a quick peck on the forehead without letting me do anything in return, did you?"

"I-I didn't mean to! I-" (Name) stuttered.

Syo smiled and pulled her closer, making contact with their lips. They kissed passionately, making (Name) melt in the process. After several long seconds, he released her and closed his eyes. "We're even now."

Right after that, he fell asleep.
